USB iPhone Extension Cable

Behold: The beauty of less restricted charging.

Plain and simple, the Lightning Cable that Apple includes with new iPhones is too short. How many times have you had to leave your phone across the room while it charges because of the puny cable? Too many to count, I’m sure.

My favorite iPhone accessory is a USB extension cable. This cable fits between the white charging block that plugs into the wall and the standard issue Lightning Cable that comes with your iPhone, and it does exactly what it sounds like. It extends the length of your USB cable. The best part? A 10 foot USB extension cable with gold plated fittings can be had for $1.46. That’s right; one dollar and forty-six cents.

In total I now have four of these cables, one each for my wife and I next to our bed as well as one for the living room. The last stays in my work and travel bag. No longer do I have to worry that a hotel room outlet is across the room from or hidden awkwardly behind the bed.

Does this post epitomize my existence as a smartphone-dependent millennial? Maybe. Either way do yourself a favor and pick one (or two, or three) of these up right now. You won’t regret it.
